Did Satan tell Eve that she and Adam's eyes would be opened?

He did. But it was not the way he led her to believe it would be. Sin is never what Satan promises it will be. Adam and Eve had been naked before the Fall, but now, because of sin, the possibility of perversion entered their minds. They responded by trying to make coverings for themselves—the first instance of human religion, the man and woman's first attempt to solve their problem themselves.
